The original Dragon's Lair arcade game software released by Cinematronics omits the use of multiple sections of the laserdisc, effectively creating many video edits, in order to keep the gameplay brief.  The Dragon's Lair Enhancement ROMs eliminate these edits and restore the use of the entire film as it is recorded on the disc.  There are two series of DLE.

DRAGON'S LAIR ENHANCEMENT ROM SET VERSION 2.1

The 2.x series of DLE offers two major functions over 1.x.  It reworks the randomization of scenes so that the story plays the way it was designed, and it optionally makes playable the prototype animation recorded on the 2002 limited edition laserdisc.

DRAGON'S LAIR ENHANCEMENT ROM SET VERSION 1.1

The latest in the 1.x series of DLE is still available.  It orders the scenes the way the original arcade game does.  It does not access the prototype animation on the limited edition laserdisc.
