Star Blazers (a.k.a. Space Battleship Yamato) is a laserdisc game manufactured by Taito in 1985. It is based on the anime series of the same name, which was popular in Japan and in many other countries as well. According to an article at ourstarblazers.com, this was Taito's second laserdisc game after Ninja Hayate. Star Blazers uses footage from the full-length movie Final Yamato. It also has original animation created for the game.

The gameplay is a hybrid of different laserdisc genres. It is mainly a collection of firing stages similar to Astron Belt and Cobra Command. It also has action sequences similar to games like Ninja Hayate and Dragon's Lair. Like Taito's other laserdisc games Time Gal and Ninja Hayate, Star Blazers was never released outside of Japan.
